About Us
It's about giving them the best life possible
When thinking about what types of dogs would benefit from our weekly runs, our three fur babies are the perfect example. Pumba being overweight, Luna does not get enough exercise in a day, and Hope can become anxious and hyperactive if left alone too long. The runs have been very beneficial for our pups and we can't wait to help yours too!
Our Story
In 1997, my mom and her sister Geri Lucia launched their business, “Bow Wow Bed and Bath”. I've been actively involved since I was young, initially assisting wherever I could until I took on a more independent role in managing the business. I began offering dog walking, sitting, and doggy pawdicures throughout our hometown of Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, and nearby areas.
As I neared the end of my senior year at Rutgers, New Brunswick, (May 2022) I started shadowing at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. I've been working there ever since, and it's been an incredible learning experience, full of valuable connections and insights.
While juggling two jobs with dogs, I also pursued my passion for fitness and began personal training in the spring of 2024. It was during this time that I envisioned combining fitness with canine care, leading to the creation of Bark N Burn. Our goal is to evolve Bark N Burn into a social club and gym for people and their dogs. For now, we operate as a mobile dog gym, catering to dogs with various needs—whether they're anxious, hyperactive, overweight, or athletic. We strive to provide a calm, climate-controlled environment where dogs can enjoy the benefits of running. We're thrilled to help enhance the lives of dogs and their owners through our services.
